When using Hot liquid or Diet Soda Pop, leave the lid of your blender slightly ajar and place a paper towel over the opening. When using Diet Soda Pop or Hot liquid, pressure can build up in the blender, and it is possible for that pressure to cause the lid to come off and the contents spray all over your kitchen.
